EXT. KAREN'S CAFE - DAY
A warm, sunny day in Tree Hill. The cafe is bustling with customers enjoying their coffee and food. The sign on the door reads '10-Year High School Reunion Tonight'.
INT. KAREN'S CAFE - DAY
BROOKE is behind the counter, preparing drinks for the customers. PEYTON enters, looking around nostalgically.
PEYTON:
(softly)
Feels like I never left.
BROOKE:
(turning to see Peyton)
Peyton! It's been too long! Look at you, all successful and stuff.
PEYTON:
(smiling)
Well, I learned from the best. Speaking of... How's the world-famous fashion designer these days?
BROOKE:
Exhausted but happy. Business is booming, and the kids are... well, you know, kids.
Peyton takes a seat at the counter.
PEYTON:
I can't wait to see them, and everyone else for that matter. Are they coming tonight?
BROOKE:
Yeah, they're all just as curious about this reunion as we are. And who knows, maybe we'll be able to relive our youth a little.
Peyton lets out a small laugh.
EXT. TREE HILL PARK - DAY
LUCAS and HALEY are walking through the park, catching up on each other's lives.
LUCAS:
Time really flies, huh? Can't believe it's been a year since I saw you last. Little Jamie must be all grown up now.
HALEY:
(turning to Lucas)
Tell me about it. He's a teenager now, and he's got your old jersey number on the Ravens. Who would've thought?
LUCAS:
(feeling proud)
Just like his uncle. You know, I always knew he had it in him.
INT. NATHAN AND HALEY'S HOUSE - DAY
JAMIE and QUINN are sitting on the living room sofa, browsing through an old yearbook.
QUINN:
I always loved looking through these. Brings back so many memories.
JAMIE:
(grinning)
I can't believe how young everyone looks.
QUINN:
(chuckling)
Wait until you watch some of the videos your mom and dad made back then.
Jamie cringes with a playful smile.
EXT. RIVERCOURT - EVENING
Nathan, Lucas, Peyton, Brooke, Haley, Jamie, and Quinn are gathered around in a circle, laughing and sharing memories.
LUCAS:
(to Nathan)
Remember that time I tried to teach you how to shoot a free throw, blindfolded?
NATHAN:
(laughing)
Yeah, you lost that bet big time.
Suddenly, a blast from the past arrives at the Rivercourt - CHRIS KELLER.
CHRIS:
Well, well, look who I found. The Tree Hill gang, all grown up!
The gang, surprised by his arrival, share glances.

EXT. ONE TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
The sun shines over One Tree Hill High School as students gossip about the changes around the town. LUCAS, BROOKE, PEYTON, NATHAN, and HALEY gather around by the entrance.
LUCAS: So, did you guys hear the big news yet?
PEYTON: (smirking) What? That you're finally giving up on basketball to become a professional writer?
LUCAS: (laughs) No, but thanks for the vote of confidence. (beat) It's about the new girl - she's moving from New York City and has a pretty impressive reputation on the court.
BROOKE: (excited) A new girl? This could be interesting! What's the scoop, Lucas?
The scene cuts to the new girl, RILEY MARTIN, walking into the school with a confident stride. Fashionable, intimidating, but with an undeniable sense of vulnerability.
INT. ONE TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL - HALLWAY - DAY
RILEY bumps into HAIRY, who is at her locker.
RILEY: (embarrassed) Oh, sorry! I didn't see you there.
HALEY: (smiling) No worries. You must be the new girl, Riley. I'm Haley James... (looking around, jokingly) Scott. I'm still getting used to saying that.
RILEY: (laughs) Yeah, I'm the 'new girl.' So, what's the deal with this town? I heard there's a pretty intense rivalry on the basketball team.
HALEY: (nodding) Yup, those Scott brothers for you. Lucas and Nathan. It's a long story. But don't worry, there's more to Tree Hill than just basketball drama.
As Riley and Haley walk down the hallway, PEYTON is standing by her locker with watercolor paint on her hands. She's staring at a canvas, lost in thought.
RILEY: (whispers to Haley) Who's that?
HALEY: Oh, that's Peyton Sawyer. She's one of my closest friends - and an incredible artist.
RILEY: (smiling) She looks cool. I'd love to get to know her.
HALEY: You will. (smirking) She won't be able to resist your city charm.
As they continue walking, BROOKE catches up to them.
BROOKE: Hey, Haley. Who's your new friend?
HALEY: This is Riley, Brooke. Riley, meet Brooke Davis, spirit captain and owner of Clothes Over Bros - pretty much owns this school.
RILEY: (raising an eyebrow) Really?
BROOKE: (laughing) At least according to me. Nice to meet you, Riley. Welcome to Tree Hill.
Brooke sees NATHAN and LUCAS joking around in the hallway and walks towards them.
INT. GYM - PRACTICE COURT - DAY
The basketball team practices for the matchpoints. Lucas and Nathan lead the team. Riley stands in the doorway, watching with interest.
COACH WHITEY: Alright, boys, we have a new player coming in - show her what Tree Hill is all about!
Riley enters the court, dribbling the ball with ease. The team watches in awe. Lucas throws her a nod of approval.
LATER - The team gathers at the sidelines after practice.
LUCAS: (to Nathan) You've got to admit, Riley can play.
NATHAN: (grinning) I'm not going to lie, she's good. Maybe this will take some of the pressure off me.
HALEY: (teasing) You don't like sharing the spotlight, do you?
NATHAN: (smirking) You know me too well, Hales.
Off to the side, BROOKE and PEYTON watch Riley.
BROOKE: (smirking) One new girl and you already have a rival, Peyt.
PEYTON: (sarcastically) Oh, please. I have enough on my plate without worrying about who's the coolest girl in school. But hey, she's a good player - I respect that.
LUCAS: (grinning) Welcome to the team, Riley!
Riley smiles back, feeling like she belongs.

INT. KAREN'S CAFE - DAY
LUCAS and HALEY sit at a table, sipping coffee and talking.
HALEY
I can't believe Nathan's signed with a new agent. I hope it works out for him.

Yeah, he deserves a break. Basketball was always his dream, you know.
THEN, PEYTON walks in with a concerned look on her face. Brooke follows close behind.
PEYTON
Guys, we have a huge problem.
LUCAS
What's wrong, Peyton?
PEYTON
I just found out my dad's in town, and he's been keeping a massive secret from me.
BROOKE
And she's not exaggerating. It's huge.
HALEY
Do you want to talk about it?
PEYTON
Not now, maybe later. Can we just enjoy our time together?
HALEY
Of course. We're here for you.
INT. GYM - DAY
NATHAN practices basketball with determination, while a SCOUT watches.
SCOUT
You're a talented player, Nathan. But what's your motivation? What's driving you?
NATHAN
My family, my wife, my friends. They're what keep me going.
INT. TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL - HALLWAY
Mouth and Skills walk down the hall, discussing their latest relationship woes.
MOUTH
I just don't know what to say to her, Skills.
SKILLS
You don't always have to say something, Mouth. Sometimes it's about listening, man.
EXT. RIVER COURT - DAY
Lucas, Peyton, and Haley have joined others for a game of pick-up basketball.
PEYTON
I can't play like I used to. But you guys have gotten even better.
LUCAS
Well, it's not just about skill, Peyton. It's also about heart, and you've always had that.
As the game continues, Haley notices Peyton's dad in the distance, watching. Haley keeps it to herself, concerned.
INT. KAREN'S CAFE - NIGHT
The gang gets together to plan a big surprise for Nathan.
BROOKE
Okay, so everyone's in on the plan? Remember, not a word to Nathan, okay?
LUCAS
We got it, Brooke. Keeping a secret is nothing new to us.
HALEY
Guys, I have to tell you something, and it's not going to be easy...

Establishing shot of the high school. Students are mingling, talking and laughing.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
BROOKE, PEYTON, LUCAS and HALEY are chatting near their lockers.
PEYTON
I cannot believe it's the last day of junior year.
BROOKE
(sighs)
Time flies.
LUCAS
(smirks)
For some of us, it just means more basketball practice.
HALEY
And for others, it might be the start of a tutoring business.
PEYTON
(laughs)
Well, you know what they say – the world needs more studious people.
INT. GYMNASIUM - DAY
NATHAN is shooting hoops alone.
EXT. CYA HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
A black SUV pulls up, and the mysterious JENNIFER steps out.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
The gang notices Jennifer walking down the hall.
BROOKE
Who's the new girl?
LUCAS
I don't know, but I have a feeling she's going to be trouble.
INT. GYMNASIUM - DAY
NATHAN notices Jennifer arrive and briefly pauses his shooting.
JENNIFER
(smiles)
You must be Nathan. I've heard a lot about you.
Confused, Nathan responds.
NATHAN
And who are you?
JENNIFER
(smiles)
My name is Jennifer. Your dad invited me to coach the team next year.
Nathan looks skeptical.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
HALEY
(cocky)
Maybe she's here to take some of my clients?
Lucas, Brooke, and Peyton laugh.
INT. GYMNASIUM - DAY
NATHAN
My dad didn't say anything about a new coach.
JENNIFER
(smirking)
Maybe you should ask him yourself. We start preseason training next week.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
The students hear the bell and begin to head to their classrooms.
PEYTON
(cheerful)
Last time we'll be doing this for a while!
Brooke gives a knowing smile.
INT. CLASSROOM - DAY
The different students take their seats. LUCAS, PEYTON, and BROOKE sit together. HALEY and NATHAN sit nearby, while JENNIFER enters the room and takes an empty seat.
EXT. CYA HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
The crowd of students exits the building. The gang notices JENNIFER heading straight to her vehicle.
HALEY
(suspicious)
I wonder what she's up to.
NATHAN
(defensively)
You think everyone's hiding something, Hales.
HALEY
(annoyed)
Fine, then. Let's just pretend the hot new coach with the cryptic backstory is a coincidence.
BROOKE
(laughing)
Haley sure knows how to ruin a summer break.
As Jennifer drives away, the gang stares after her. The camera pans up to the cloudy sky.

An establishing shot of TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL as students walk around the campus. We see LUCAS SCOTT and HALEY JAMES walking together, catching up from summer break.

So, how was your summer with Keith?
LUCAS
It was great. We spent most of it working on cars and talking about life. There's nothing like a summer in Tree Hill.
As they continue to walk, BROOKE DAVIS and PEYTON SAWYER join the conversation.
BROOKE
Hey, guys! Did you do anything interesting this summer?
PEYTON
Besides falling in love with your own reflection in the pool, Brooke?
Brooke rolls her eyes at Peyton's remark.
LUCAS
(smiling)
Same old, same old.
HALEY
I guess things never change around here.
CUT TO:
INT. KAREN'S CAFE - DAY
KAREN ROE is behind the counter, serving coffee to a CUSTOMER. KEITH SCOTT walks in and sits at the counter.
KEITH
Hey, sis. Got any free coffee for a tired mechanic?
KAREN
(smiling)
Only if you promise to work on my car this weekend.
They both laugh as Karen hands Keith a cup of coffee.
CUT TO:
EXT. TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
NATHAN SCOTT and DAN SCOTT are on the basketball court, shooting hoops. Tension is clearly visible between them.
DAN
You're gonna need to step it up this year, Nathan. Your future is riding on a scholarship.
NATHAN
(sarcastic)
Yeah, I got it, Dad. No pressure.
As Nathan continues to shoot, Lucas approaches the court.
LUCAS
Hey, Nathan. How's the game?
NATHAN
(rolling his eyes)
You know, same old, same old.
Lucas attempts to shoot a basket, but misses. Nathan smirks.
DAN
That's enough for today, Nathan. We can't let you overdo it before the season starts.
Nathan and Lucas shoot each other a knowing look as Dan walks away.

INT. TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
In the hallway, the group reconvenes. A MYSTERIOUS GIRL walks past them, capturing everyone's attention. Peyton looks at Lucas, locking eyes with him.
PEYTON
Who's that?
HALEY
I don't know, but she looks new. Maybe one of us should go talk to her?
BROOKE
Maybe one of us should, and by one of us, I mean Lucas. Right, Luke?
Everyone encourages Lucas to go talk to the mysterious girl.
LUCAS
(smiling)
Alright, alright, I'll go talk to her.
As Lucas walks towards her, the mysterious girl notices him approaching and smiles.
MYSTERIOUS GIRL
Hey, I'm Jessica. I'm new here. Can you maybe show me around?
Lucas laughs nervously.
LUCAS
Yeah, sure. No problem. I’m Lucas, by the way.
As they walk away, the rest of the group watches them, discussing the new girl.
PEYTON
(skeptical)
What do you guys think of her?
HALEY
She seems nice. I hope she fits in.
BROOKE
Like I always say, the more drama, the merrier!
As the group shares a laugh, we see Jessica looking back at them, her smile turning into a more mysterious and conniving expression. Tree Hill High just got more complicated.

We see HALEY walking towards the cafe, deep in thought. NATHAN sneaks up behind her, covering her eyes.

Nathan removes his hands and Haley turns, kissing him quickly.
INT. KAREN'S CAFE - DAY
LUCAS and PEYTON sit together, sipping coffee and laughing. The doorbell chimes, and Haley and Nathan walk in.
LUCAS: Hey, guys! Perfect timing. We were just talking about the upcoming championship game this weekend.
HALEY: (smirking) We know. Nathan's been practicing non-stop for days.
PEYTON: You got this, Nate.
NATHAN: (nodding) Yeah, I hope so.
INT. BROOKE'S CLOTHES OVER BRO'S - DAY
BROOKE supervises her staff and takes calls simultaneously. A SECRET CUSTOMER, obscured by a hoodie, enters the store and shops discreetly.
INT. KAREN'S CAFE - DAY
Lucas, Peyton, Haley, and Nathan continue their conversation.
LUCAS: Well, we've got to get back to work on Peyton's car. The repairs after last night's series of unfortunate events... are kind of extensive.
PEYTON: (laughs) Just a few dents and scratches! Not as bad as the first time, though. Remember that, Luke?
LUCAS: (grinning) Yeah, I do.
They leave the cafe, with Haley and Nathan following them out.
INT. BROOKE'S CLOTHES OVER BRO'S - DAY
The secret customer approaches the counter, putting a few items down. Brooke walks over, still talking on the phone.
BROOKE: (to the phone) I have to go, Victoria. I'll call you back later.
The customer removes their hood, revealing CHRIS KELLER. Brooke's eyes widen in surprise.
CHRIS: Long time no see, Brooke.
BROOKE: (shocked) Chris Keller?! What the hell are you doing here?

Brooke and Haley are working behind the counter, while Lucas is perched on a barstool, sipping his coffee.

Haley walks over with a plate of donuts.
HALEY
Come on, Brooke, you have to admit it's part of our history.
BROOKE

Fine, I guess I can't deny that.
A newcomer, JILL, enters the cafe. She's around their age, with a sweet smile that hides her strong determination.
JILL
(excited)
Hey there! Just moved here from Phoenix. I heard this is the place for great coffee and maybe even some new friends.
BROOKE
You've definitely come to the right place. I'm Brooke, this is Haley, and the basketball-obsessed guy over there is Lucas.
JILL
(sincere)
It's really nice to meet you all! I was a bit nervous about moving here, but I'm excited to start a new chapter.
Haley offers Jill a donut.
HALEY
Consider this a warm welcome to Tree Hill.
EXT. TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL - DAY
Jill arrives at school and is greeted by NATHAN, who's entering the building as well.
NATHAN
(joking)
If you're here to get away from the big city, I'm afraid you might've come to the wrong town. Drama and basketball is our specialty.
JILL
(accepting the challenge)
Well, I'm more of a volleyball player, but I think I can handle a little drama.
INT. TREE HILL HIGH SCHOOL - GYM
Jill makes her way to the gym, seeing high school basketball tryouts taking place. The COACH encourages the boys on.
COACH
(yelling)
Alright, a few more minutes and then we'll switch it up!
Jill approaches the coach.
JILL
(excited)
Excuse me, Coach? I was wondering if there's a girls' volleyball team here.
COACH
(impatient)
We haven't had a girls' volleyball team in years. Not enough interest.
Jill is disappointed but remains resolute.
JILL
(determined)
Well, maybe it's time for that to change.
Nathan, who has been overhearing the conversation, gives Jill a quick smile.
INT. PEYTON'S HOUSE - NIGHT
Peyton stands in her room, surrounded by artwork, feeling inspired after talking to Jill. She starts working on a new painting.
ON THE PAINTING: The words 'A NEW BEGINNING' are centered, symbolizing the new chapter Jill mentioned earlier.
LUCAS (V.O.)
